N-(n-Butyl)-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane
Product introduction

YAC-A115 is a bifunctional organosilane possessing a reactive secondary amino group and hydrolyzable inorganic trimethoxysilyl groups.

The dual nature of its reactivity allows YAC-A115 to bind chemically to both inorganic materials and organic silicone polymers, thus functioning as an adhesion promoter, surface modifier and as a reactant for product modification.

YAC-A115 is a colorless to slight yellowish liquid with a light amine-like odor, it is soluble in alcohols, and aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons. It is the equivalent of Evonik's Dynasylan 1189 silane.

Application

YAC-A115 can be used as a primer or additive and for the chemical modification of sealants and adhesives.

YAC-A115 can be used as a size constituent or finish for glass fiber/glass fabric composites.

YAC-A115 amino silane can be used as an additive to phenolic, furan and melamine resins used in foundry resins.

YAC-A115 can be used for pretreatment of fillers and pigments used in mineral filled polymers.

YAC-A115 can be used as a primer and additive to improve the adhesion of paints and coatings to the substrate.

YAC-A115 silanes can be used as an endcapper for polyurethanes.

YAC-A115 can be used as starting material in the synthesis of amino-functional silicones.

Packing and Storage

YAC-A115 is supplied in 200Kg steel drum or 1000Kg IBC container.

In the unopened original container YAC-A115 has a shelf life of one year in a dry and cool place.
