Bis[(3-trimethoxysilyl)propyl]amine
Product introduction

YAC-A616 is a secondary aminofunctional silane possessing two symmetric silicon atoms. YAC-A616 may act as an adhesion promoter between inorganic materials (for example glass, metals and fillers) and organic polymers (thermosets, thermoplastics and elastomers) or as a surface modifier.

YAC-A616 amino silane is a slightly yellowish liquid with an amine-like odor. It is soluble in alcohols, aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons.

Application

YAC-A616 can be used in many applications, like:

Foundry resins: as additive to phenolic, furan and melamine resins
Mineral-filled composites: for pre-treatment of fillers and pigments
Metal primers
Mineral fiber insulating materials, abrasives: as silicone additive to phenolic resin binders
Sealants and adhesives: as primer or additive
Paints and coatings: as additive and primer for improving adhesion to the substrate.

Processing properties, such as

Excellent primerless adhesion
Higher filler loading
Homogeneous distribution of inorganic fillers in polymer matrices
Rheological behaviour: reduction in viscosity, newtonian behavior
Wet-out

YAC-A616 silane coupling agent can be used to improve:

Product properties, such as
Durability at high temperature and humidity
Flexural strength, tensile strength, impact strength and modulus of elasticity
Moisture and corrosion resistance

Packing and Storage

YAC-A616 is supplied in 200Kg steel drum or 1000Kg IBC container.

In the unopened original container YAC-A616 has a shelf life of one year in a dry and cool place.
