Application
As for the use of silanes and silicones, YAC-TIPSC has found new applications as a blocking group. It has been utilized to prepare blocked derivatives of hydroxy compounds. Derivatization of substrates is accomplished efficiently in DMF containing a slight molar excess of imidazole. Blocked intermediates exhibited acidic hydrolytic stability intermediate between that of a (Tert-butyldiphenylchlorosilane) and (Tert-butyldiphenyl chlorosilane) derivatives. Greater stability was obtained with YAC-TIPSC under basic conditions.
Packing and Storage
YAC-TIPSC chlorosilane is supplied in net weight 180Kg steel drum.
In the unopened original container YAC-TIPSC has a shelf life of one year in a dry and cool place.
